As I was digging in some 2005 files for a client, I came across the photo above. It was taken in Austin, TX and pictures my parents and sister in front of the Capital on a very sunny day.I remember exactly why I have this photo which has nothing to do with anything else in that day’s (or any other days’) folder: My parents first asked and then forced me to take a tourist photo of them in front of the Capitol and I told them I didn’t do stuff like this, never had and didn’t intend to; and also as an reason they were more likely to accept before the other: that the sun was shining inacceptably bright and their eyes would look bad.Both, my mother and my father both got very mad at me being so stubburn, and after an endless discussion my sister told me I should just do it and forget about it.The result is a half-ass stock tourist photo of people squinting their eyes.
