nowadays, time spent to prove you are good enough to do something and will do it better than others, takes up most of the time you could use to actually do a thing you are applying to do at some point in the future
that makes you, as a freelancer, busy at all times and teaches you to become better at what you are training yourself to do.
i don’t know if this is good or not. one thing is for sure: less time for just yourself and very personal projects.
(the rest of the time is spent on paperwork and dealing with agents and possible clients.)
