i spent the day on a photo session at tu berlin’s stage design studio yesterday, @ackerstraße.
i am amazed by the huge spaces with daylight and white paint that they get, both of them being state-financed.

and i don’t know why i took this. something inside me told me to do it.

i had a dream...

antje:

… and it was a strange one.  In it I had some conversation with Mareen, sitting on the kitchenfloor of a yellow bricked empty house, without any light on and there were like five meters between us. After one hour or so and a very honest talk (I never talked to Mareen outside E-Mails yet you have to know) I stood up to switch on the light and cook some sweet pan cake. And there where Mareen sat was a big bunch of red hair, she stood beside it and she smiled at me with that shiny scissors in her hand and her new supershort messy haircut, saying: “I just wanted to do something productive”…

I have no idea what the meaning behind all this might be – but I feel like a little weirdo now ;)

nice story, antje.
(i have actually cut my friend maria’s hair at a birthday beach party of mine before.)

last night, they had this earth hour thing going on and because i am working in berlin anyway, i was asked to take a picture of berlin’s fernsehturm “alex” as they (deutsche telekom, who runs it) turned off the lights. i expected something more awesome, like that church doing the same thing, but all the other lights stayed on.
the failures and overpowering that happen at the moment where everyone who takes part in this turns their lights back on are a bit critical. other than that, it would just help if people didn’t always have all lights always on, but whom am i telling this… people who read this probably know.
i am just posting these pictures because it is my first night shot in a really long time (years?) and i like it.
