showing at »show off«, paris 2009
my new gallery in paris (not saying who it is yet) is going to show some works of the project »moment« at show off during fiac09, a famous art fair, from oct 21-25. this was quickly decided last week and will be an »appetizer« for a solo exhibition i scored for next february.
all i can say is that i am happy.
you can pop in there if you’re around.

and i am excitedly seeing all those languages coming together: texts originally written in german, translated into english and then again into french by a native speaker get read and are understood all over.
nowadays, time spent to prove you are good enough to do something and will do it better than others, takes up most of the time you could use to actually do a thing you are applying to do at some point in the future
that makes you, as a freelancer, busy at all times and teaches you to become better at what you are training yourself to do.
i don’t know if this is good or not. one thing is for sure: less time for just yourself and very personal projects.
(the rest of the time is spent on paperwork and dealing with agents and possible clients.)
random snap from my portfolio that i have to update for getty’s global assignment, one of my reps.
the story here is that i spent months creating a wallpaper for jon lott and jared rusten’s bar at union ave in williamsburg. we did tests and my blurry times square was close, but was then kicked out by a similar recording of nature by day. this was in 2006.
what a stupid reflex is that...
home alone and i lock the bathroom door?
good deeds bring good people together
in the end, at last.
