One of the many things that are annoying about YouTube is that there are so many instances of all the videos with no user-generated content, and 90% are of super-poor quality. Someone needs to kick out what is too much because, as I said. (We might soon need a re-installation of the whole interweb.)

The reasons I cannot go to a café or any random city away from home to explicitly work from there are: 1) I need access to my files (and complete Mail conversations), 2) my graphic tablet of vital importance and 3) need the RAM of my large Mac. That is several Gigs which would not yet be possible on that tiny little book I would usually take to work away from home. ++++ 1) Is solvable with an...

I thought this text was nice – nothing I would usually read, but did so anyway – although didn’t even realize who the author is until I was about 1/3 through. - via a comment I got on Flickr.

In Germany, Amazon now started their mail rental service – while Amazon U.S. already does the downloads. I have only seen one online rental store before, but it was not promoted well and nobody noticed it (I even lost the link). (PS.: Glad I have T-Home in case I need it, which is like once a month.)
Oranges are my favorite winter fruit. I just had the first one for this cold season. It was very disappointing.

Mareen: don't forget defragmenting your hard drive, too.
Would someone go get milk for coffee, please?
The weather is so nasty. Now, if I were a mean photographer, taking advantage of someone who is an intern because they want to learn about photography, I would send Jenny (Flickr, Tumblr). Haha. No offense, Jen! :)
Degree of public life on the internet
Prelude: Yesterday, when I had a private talk with a professor at FHD, my friend was waiting and asked if she should leave the room. I laughed and said there were no secrets. This is how it is. Every now and then, a contact who was a pure business contact until that point, suddenly tells me that he saw my (non-pro) websites (like this one) and asks whether I am not afraid of providing too much...

“Dear Internet, don’t you think a drawing of John Lennon and Paul McCartney having gay sex would be funny? Can you make that happen, please?” — by dalasverdugo The idea itself is absolutely to the point. If only his request is well-spread, e.g. enough people read this post, the chance that someone will actually do it is pretty big. Cute experiment.
Whenever I send off an important (business) email, I hold down the send button for a second that seems like forever, still giving myself the chance to think of a possible mistake – until then finally, I will release it into the bottomless world of flying pixel envelopes.
I always thought I had kept a blog since 2003, but I just realized that the first one I had was in 2000, for about one year, at Open Diary. Looks like the site has not developed since. They must have done something wrong. Dude. I really need to concentrate on work.

Been wanting to post this commerical mashup of old ways to present new things. Désirée Lamatz showed it to me as her newest project: she is the pink-dressed actress in that Ikea movie.
